Good Choices BY REV. RON BEARD
One Saturday morning Sherwood was out
in the yard helping his dad with cutting back the big Crepe Myrtles. As the day wore on Sherwood got tired of the work and asked his dad if he could stop carrying the cut limbs and of the day.
His dad said, “Certainly! You’ve been a
great help but now be careful of what you choose to do with your friends. You need to make good choices.” Sherwood said, “How do you make good choices?”
Dad told him that there were several things that help you make good choices. “First,
you need to know that your choices are good to begin with. Second, you need to be cer- tain that your choices are yours and not some choice that someone else made for you. Third, when you make a choice, always consider the answer to that bracelet you wear which says ‘WWJD’ and try to choose what Jesus would do.” “Is that it,” he asked, “Can I go now?” Dad said, “Let me mention one more thing before you run off to play. Nobody should

This easy and delicious salad can be eaten as a side item or as a dessert! Ask for a parent’s help.
Orange Fluff
Grab: • 16 oz container small curd cottage cheese
• 16 oz container cool whip • 6 oz box orange Jell-O • 11 oz mandarin oranges • Chopped pecans (optional)
Go: • In a large bowl, combine Jell-O powder and cottage cheese.
• Mix in cool whip. • Cut mandarin oranges in half. Fold into Jell-O mixture.
• Add chopped pecans to suit your taste.
• Serve alongside Sunday dinner or as a sweet spring dessert!
