This year we have been raising funds for Casting      non-profit organization that provides fly fishing retreats to women who have survived and/or are still going through their breast cancer battles. As a breast cancer survivor and avid fisherwoman myself, I had the opportunity to attend a retreat and found it to be a life changing event. It not only teaches one the art of fly fishing and tying, but gives the participant an opportunity to take advantage of medical and social counseling. As Past President of NARPM®, I am spearheading this fundraiser on a national basis, thus far having raised over $50,000 from contributions across the nation.


So how do you do it? Have parking lot sales, have         letters to vendors, owners, and tenants about what you are doing, mention it in your signature  your front desk, produce a video that talks about what you are doing and place it on your website, and ask, ask, ask. It will take commitment on the entire organization’s part but once there is by-in, you’ll be surprised how successful you will be.
