GFK Management would like to welcome Teresa Bower, CMCA to their team. Prior to entering the field of Association Management, Teresa worked as a project manager in the construction industry. Her experience with budgets, contracts, and risk management ties in nicely with condominium management. Teresa also gained business exposure by ownership and management of a small local manufacturing company on larger built commercial projects. Teresa uses her extensive knowledge of business


management, and her desire to be of service, to provide support to association boards and homeowners. Her working style preference is a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.

Barker Martin, PS would like to welcome associate attorney, Alexis Ducich, to the team. Alexis received her law degree from Syracuse University and her LLM in Taxation from the University of Washington. Alexis’s area of practice focuses on the enforcement of CC&R fine violations, pursuit of past-due assessments, pursuit of money judgments, lien foreclosure actions and post-judgment execution and collection. Prior to joining Barker Martin, Alexis provided general counsel to community associations, and most recently, was in-house counsel for a debt collection agency. In her free time, Alexis volunteers for a local non-profit, enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.

Phillips Real Estate Services has recently announced the promotion of Tim Pfohl to president of the firm, after over 9 years in the property management industry, successfully leading the smart growth and expansion of Phillips Community Association Group and serving as chairman of the company’s Executive Committee. Community Association Manager, Robert Guyott was promoted to assistant director of the Community Association Group, and Community Association Manager Jeff Totzek joined Phillips’ team to accommodate business growth. Former president and Phillips managing partner, Louie Micheli commented, “We achieved success in property management by growing and nurturing professionals who deliver a consistent high quality experience to our customers. Cori Twigg has recently joined Ruff Construction, Inc. as their new accountant. Cori has experience working in the construction industry as well as with Property and Association Managers, having previously been employed at a roofing and remodeling company for the past seven years. In addition, she has worked with several smaller companies; doing their books on a weekly/ monthly basis. Cori comes to Ruff Construction with an AA in accounting. Beyond her work experience, she has volunteered four consecutive years during the tax season at a local community college for the AARP Tax Aide; a free tax aide program for low income and/or senior citizens. Not only does that help keep her up to date with tax laws, but also allows her to give back to her community. As you can see, she loves what she does! They are very excited to have Cori as a part of their team. You can look forward to meeting Cori in person at upcoming WSCAI Events.
