Market Value Off to a Great Start with Morning Seminar
Strong Messaging Comes in Small Packages Sometimes, the best marketing tools are right in front of you. For example, take those inexpensive miniature storage boxes with your company logo. “They can be filled with candy and a business card and left with prospects during sales calls,” said Mike Chadima, cofounder, Corporate Records Management, Inc., Dallas, TX. “Prospects always like the charming little stor- age box and will continue to refill it with rubber bands or paper clips as it sits on their desk or cabinet”—conveniently displaying your company logo for the long term.
In Search of the Missing Piece “Lumpy mail” marketing gets prospects calling. “We mailed a puzzle with one missing piece [of] our company logo,” said Tyler Brenes, operations manager, Safe Archives, Mobile, AL. “Prospects were instructed to call us for ‘the missing piece in your business.’ It received some great reviews and has gener- ated some quality meetings and great customers.”
Australian company Grace Information and Records Management (GIRM) recently hosted its first breakfast infor- mation seminar in Perth, Western Australia, to help local small to medium businesses better understand recent changes to Australian privacy laws.
The event featured guest speakers such as the director of
Information Enterprise Australia, a Perth-based records and in- formation management consulting firm, and the managing di- rector of a local legal firm, giving attendees the chance to bet- ter understand their legal obligations and how the changes will affect their business. In return, GIRM had the opportunity to broaden its business network.
“The GIRM warehouse in Perth provided the perfect back- drop to the event as nearly 30 customers and prospects en- joyed a hearty breakfast while being educated by these two highly sought-after speakers,” said Derryk Guyer, GIRM’s sales director. “The seminar series has led to several new business opportunities for GIRM.”
Due to the success of the seminar, GIRM plans to hold similar educational sessions in other Australian capital cities throughout the rest of the year.
Open House Displays Value and Trust If a historical artifacts dealer is comfortable placing his or her rare and valuable copy of the Declaration of Independence on public display at Richards & Richards, Nashville, TN, everyone should feel confident storing their valuable information there. That was the message behind a unique open house held in June at the independently owned data storage facility.
But there was far more on display than a national treasure.
Valued customers got to personally meet the Richards family and their enthusiastic staff to see firsthand just how safe and inviting their facility is. The open house and historical docu- ment truly spoke volumes. n
