Members in the News On June 23, the Oklahoma


State Chamber honored Dr. Carlos Johnson, CPA, with their Outstanding Member Award. Johnson is a past chair


of the OSCPA and has been a member for 49 years. He currently serves as chair of the Government Relations Committee and as legislative committee chair of the CPA/PAC. He is also a 2015 inductee in the Spears School of Business Hall of Fame at Oklahoma State University. Additionally, Johnson is the past chair of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, a 1995 Oklahoma Accounting Hall of Fame inductee, a 2012 OSCPA Public Service Award recipient and a 2019 OSCPA Path Finder. During Oklahoma State


University's 2021 virtual Wilton T. Anderson Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet,


April 29, the Spears School of Business honored OSCPA members, educators and almuni for their continued leadership in the accounting profession. Sandy "Sandy" Siegfried, CPA, was honored as the 2021 Distinguished Friend of the School of Accounting, which recognizes individuals who have provided significant support/ service to the school, but who are not alumni. Siegfried is a past chair of the OSCPA and has been a member for almost 43 years.

During her work with the OSCPA, she has served on multiple OSCPA committees – including the Taxation, Professional Ethics and Nominating Committees. She currently serves on the Oklahoma Accountancy Board's (OAB) board of directors. Te 2020 honorees were also recognized during the 2021 virtual event. Among the 2020 Wilton T. Anderson Hall of Fame inductees was Stephen "Steve" Jay, CPA, a 50-year member of the OSCPA, and Jeff Ronsse, CPA, a 19-year member of the OSCPA. In addition, Michael Madsen, CPA, was named the 2020 Early Career Rising Star. Madsen has been a member of the OSCPA for 11 years and is a 2018 OSCPA Trailblazer. Ladonna Sinning, CPA,


CFE, and Randy Turman, CPA, PFS, CFP, were recently named to the Journal Record’s Power 2021 List in Banking and Finance, which recognizes leaders in Oklahoma’s top bankers and investment professionals. Sinning, a partner


at Arledge & Associates in Edmond, has more than two decades of public accounting experience along with a wealth of experience as a bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. She has been an OSCPA member for 34 years and currently serves the Society’s Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee. Turman, CEO of Retirement Investment
