Members in the News On June 23, the Oklahoma
State Chamber honored Dr. Carlos Johnson, CPA, with their Outstanding Member Award. Johnson is a past chair
of the OSCPA and has been a member for 49 years. He currently serves as chair of the Government Relations Committee and as legislative committee chair of the CPA/PAC. He is also a 2015 inductee in the Spears School of Business Hall of Fame at Oklahoma State University. Additionally, Johnson is the past chair of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, a 1995 Oklahoma Accounting Hall of Fame inductee, a 2012 OSCPA Public Service Award recipient and a 2019 OSCPA Path Finder. During Oklahoma State
University's 2021 virtual Wilton T. Anderson Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet,
April 29, the Spears School of Business honored OSCPA members, educators and almuni for their continued leadership in the accounting profession. Sandy "Sandy" Siegfried, CPA, was honored as the 2021 Distinguished Friend of the School of Accounting, which recognizes individuals who have provided significant support/ service to the school, but who are not alumni. Siegfried is a past chair of the OSCPA and has been a member for almost 43 years.

During her work with the OSCPA, she has served on multiple OSCPA committees – including the Taxation, Professional Ethics and Nominating Committees. She currently serves on the Oklahoma Accountancy Board's (OAB) board of directors. Te 2020 honorees were also recognized during the 2021 virtual event. Among the 2020 Wilton T. Anderson Hall of Fame inductees was Stephen "Steve" Jay, CPA, a 50-year member of the OSCPA, and Jeff Ronsse, CPA, a 19-year member of the OSCPA. In addition, Michael Madsen, CPA, was named the 2020 Early Career Rising Star. Madsen has been a member of the OSCPA for 11 years and is a 2018 OSCPA Trailblazer. Ladonna Sinning, CPA,
CFE, and Randy Turman, CPA, PFS, CFP, were recently named to the Journal Record’s Power 2021 List in Banking and Finance, which recognizes leaders in Oklahoma’s top bankers and investment professionals. Sinning, a partner
at Arledge & Associates in Edmond, has more than two decades of public accounting experience along with a wealth of experience as a bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. She has been an OSCPA member for 34 years and currently serves the Society’s Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee. Turman, CEO of Retirement Investment
Advisors, Inc. in Oklahoma City, entered the asset management and planning business in 1986. In his 29 years of membership, he has served many of the OSCPA’s committees, is the 2012 Outstanding Member in Financial Planning Award recipient and the 2005 Public Service Award recipient. Rachel Cox, CPA, received
Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) School of Accounting’s Greiner Excellence in Teaching
Award for 2021. Cox has been an instructor of professional practice teaching accounting at OSU since 2017. She graduated from OSU in 2012. After graduating, she passed the CPA exam and spent four years working as an auditor at Ernst & Young (EY) and a year and

a half working as a CPA for BOK Financial in Tulsa before joining the OSU accounting faculty. Cox has been an OSCPA member for almost eight years.

promotions of three new partners. Aaron Jaqua, CPA, and Jennifer Carpenter, CPA, of Norman and Zach Parker, CPA, of Tulsa. Jaqua has been an OSCPA member for seven years and is a 2015 OSCPA Trailblazer and has is a past president of the OSCPA’s Norman Chapter. Carpenter has been an OSCPA member for almost 15 years and is a

in Oklahoma City announced promotions of four OSCPA members. Josh Elder, CPA, was promoted to audit senior
manager for the firm. Elder has been an OSCPA member for more than nine years and is currently serving as Secretary on the OSCPA Board of Directors. He is a 2017 OSCPA Trailblazer and has been active on multiple OSCPA committees, including the Young Accounting Professionals, Public Relations, Financial Literacy and Banking & Other Financial Institutions. Elder is also a graduate of the 2018 AICPA Leadership Academy. Ara Grigorian, CPA, and Melanie Ramseyer, CPA, were both promoted to audit managers for the firm. Grigorian has been an OSCPA member for almost two years and currently serves on the OSCPA’s Young Accounting Professionals and Accounting
