Samuel T. Martel and his wife Doris M. Martel
Everything in life has a beginning. Our story began in 1963 when Co-Founders Samuel T. Martel and his wife Doris M. Martel risked everything they owned and took a chance. With hopes to build a small family run roofing business they embarked on their journey. Over the course of the next 20- 30 years they set the foundation for what became a successful and well-respected Illinois Roofing Corporation. Sam & Doris Martel did this all for the purpose of raising and providing for their 8 children. Sam would spend his days selling roofing projects and working on the job sites with his crews. Among many of her responsibilities, Doris would run the books and balance the accounting sheets. After feeding their 8 children dinner, helping with school work and tucking the little ones into bed, Doris could often be found at her kitchen desk working S&D’s business books late into the evening. S&D started with a great team - Sam and Doris!
Now 60 years later S&D wants to thank all our customers, homeowners, consulting firms and management companies for working with S&D, we truly appreciate you. Please always keep S&D Roofing in your mind when it comes to Roofing & Siding. Thank you all CAI Members.
