Peter Tateishi Named AGC of California CEO
Peter Tateishi
became AGC of California’s new CEO on January 2, 2018, taking over the top executive role from Tom Holsman, who retired after serving the organization for 32 years. Tateishi comes to AGC from the
Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, where he served as President and CEO for the past three years. Prior to that role he was CEO of the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange and before that served as Chief of Staff to former Congressman Dan Lungren. Watch for an expanded feature

Kate Mergen Promoted to Vice President
AGC of California
recently promoted Kate Mergen to Vice President, Government Affairs & Occupational Divisions. Kate’s focus on strategic partner-
ships and strengthening the voice of the industry for all tiers of construction companies has put her at the forefront of issues and policy reform to create pro-industry legis- lation for the building, highway and engineering fields. As Vice President, Kate will continue in her capacity but will also lead the organiza- tion’s government relations, where she’ll manage staff, oversee strategic direction and support the organiza- tion’s growth at the executive level.
Scott Causley Joins AGC Team
Scott Causley
recently joined the AGC of California team as the new Training & Education Development Manager. He is overseeing the organi- zation’s Training Department, and development of the Statewide CLC. Scott brings 20 years of associ-
ation/non-profit experience, working in training, communications, and risk management. He has a B.A. Degree in Government from CSU Sacramento.

Governor Appoints Marjorie Del Toro to
Board Gov.
Edmund Brown recently appointed Marjorie Del Toro to the California Underground Facilities Safe Excavation Board. Del Toro has been founder and
president at EHS International Inc. since 2010. She was founder and chief executive officer at Joshua Casey Business Solutions LLC from 1997 to 2010.

Shareholder Hunt Ortmann,
a California law firm that has long focused on construction law and related litigation, has elevated JoLynn M. Pollard to shareholder. With 30 years of experience, most recently focused on employment and insurance matters, Pollard will also lead the firm’s practice in these areas, an expansion of its existing client offerings that recognizes the growing importance of a coordinated approach to the full complement of issues facing the construction and broader real estate industries.
