Views from Washington, D.C. MBA Activity at Washington Summit

Bankers from throughout Missouri joined MBA President Jackson Hataway in Washington, D.C., from March 20-22 for the Washington Summit hosted by the American Bankers Association. In their visits with Missouri’s congressional delegation, bankers emphasized the strength and stability of their Missouri banking community.

“Missouri bankers were well-represented in Washington, D.C., at a critical time for our industry,” Hataway said. “We are fortunate to have senators and representatives who want to engage with us and understand the strength and stability of banks across Missouri.”

Bankers meeting with Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer are (left to right) Garett Boatright, First State Community Bank, Farmington; Scott Breckenkamp, First State Community Bank, Washington; Casey Crowell, The Bank of Missouri, Cape Girardeau; Dan Westhues, Central Bank, Jefferson City; Don Thompson, First State Community Bank, Potosi; MBA President Jackson Hataway; Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer; Jamie Lipe, First State Community Bank, Farmington; Rich Weaver, Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines; David Gohn, West Plains Bank and Trust Company; and MBA Chairman J.R. Buckner, First Federal Bank of Kansas City.
