He volunteers for Care to Learn, a local nonprofit that provides children and their families with health and hygiene products, school supplies and food throughout the year.

Moreau has spent her entire banking career — 14 years — with Central Bank of


Launched in June 2019, ProsperU helps individuals and businesses learn how to build a successful financial life. In its first year, ProsperU had more than 2,600 participants in more than 140 classes/presentations, with 45% identifying as low to moderate income. When the COVID-19 pandemic canceled in-person classes, Moreau moved her classes online and kept on teaching. In addition, she provided more than 70 one-on-one financial counseling sessions, helping to put individuals on a better financial foundation. Moreau has partnered with numerous local organizations and nonprofits in Columbia to position financial education at the forefront of the community.


Moreau received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Columbia College. She attended MBA’s School of Bank Management


and currently serves on MBA’s Board of Trustees for Banking Education. Moreau is a nationally certified credit counselor through the National Association of Certified Credit Counselors.


Troughout the next two decades, she achieved promotions and new responsibilities as her banking expertise grew. Today, Vogelgesang oversees and provides leadership to both the commercial loan administration and the compliance departments. She is responsible for managing and identifying risks and for managing credit quality within the commercial loan portfolio, as well as oversight of policy and regulatory compliance.

Risk Management and Loan Administration First State Bank of St. Charles PPP — those three letters became part of the banking lexicon in 2020. At First State Bank of St. Charles, Renee Vogelgesang provided strong leadership to rollout the Paycheck Protection Program to provide much needed support to customers during a time of great need. Her vast banking experience and leadership provided the foundation required to lead this historic work.


Vogelgesang began her banking career as a teller and financial services representative in 1999.


A trusted leader who others turn to for direction and support, Vogelgesang is an excellent administrator offering support and encouraging employees to improve their professional knowledge. She recognizes the importance of leading a positive work environment and has created avenues for employee recognition to support employee morale and success.


A graduate of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Vogelgesang is currently enrolled in MBA’s Banking Leadership Missouri and serves on the Young Bankers Leadership Board of Directors. She serves on the advisory council for Te Child Center.
