s Christian women and cre- ated beings, we know that our worth is derived from
our having been created by God. The mere fact that God has made us, and in His own image, is the source of our value.
Likewise, the works that God has
prepared for us beforehand only have value because he has commanded them. They are worth doing because the only wise God has created us in Christ for them, that in them, He might receive glory. For the most are unknown to us. However, we can certainly know them in generality. Titus 2:3-5 tells us that the older women should “teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands.” This is the general command through which we must women, we must be willing and we must have a teachable heart and 5 that, “the word of God will not be reviled”. We all, older and younger, will learn to love the word of God and
- ally, we read in 1 Timothy 5 that we are to encourage the “older women as mothers and the younger women as sisters, in all purity.”
Vision
Our work in Women’s Ministries should follow these directives and to be our vision and the goal of all of word of God. We are all busy about many things in our individual lives, and as we meet together, we must be sure that these works have at their core the in- structing and training that has been required of us. It is easy to fall into other busyness that has no value; oth- er works that are not good.

goal the glory of our Lord and the growing maturity in Christ of those whom He has called to himself? The answers to these questions are cru- cial and must be discerned, that we would regain a focus on that which is truly good, and persist together sin- gle-mindedly to do only that which is worthy of our time and energy. This is my prayer and earnest
desire for us all. I am thankful that I have had the opportunity to serve in this capacity and am excited to continue to see God work in and through the women of our denomi- nation. We have certainly been given much and are, therefore, expected and privileged to do much unto the glory and honor of our Lord and Sav- ior Jesus Christ.
