ur Vice President for Finance position is a key cog in the wheel of Bonclarken’s ministry. In 2013, Jimmy Kimmons announced he planned to retire from his position as our Finance VP, and
years. I should not have worried. We were so blessed when Carol Davis accepted the position, started work in December 2013, and then proceeded to transform and modernize
Carol retired at the end of 2022. I would like to honor Carol with my article this month and tell you about Laura Robinson, whom we named as Carol’s successor. Carol grew up in Merritt Island, FL, and graduated from the University of South Florida with an Account- ing degree in 1987. She received a MBA from Emory University in 1990. While at Emory, she met Tom Davis, who was from Hendersonville, NC, and they married in 1993. Her work career started as a staff accountant 1998, she and Tom returned to Hendersonville to raise their two sons. Ben and Matt. In 2010, she began as the Carol shared with me that “working with the Board of Trustees, Chip Sherer, and all of the staff at Bonclarken has been a privilege. I felt called to serve at Bonclarken and have been blessed by the time spent in support - lenges over the last nine years.
