EDITORIAL MESSAGE
A big step T
his magazine — Irrigation Today — is a unique publication. There are many ag publications in circulation, but Irrigation Today definitely stands apart. Here’s why. This magazine was created by the Irrigation Associ-
ation in 2016, and the association still manages the publishing. The content in each issue is determined by a committee of industry leaders with strong insight into what is important and relevant in today’s irrigation industry and to irrigators. The articles are written by those considered experts in their field.
Irrigation Today is not produced by a large publishing house that churns out multiple magazines every month. It was created by the industry, for the indus- try. Because of that, we are able to focus on agricultural irrigation and provide you this important content that impacts your operation and practices. Since the magazine hit the presses in 2016, it has grown in popularity and become the go-to resource for the ag irrigation industry.
Building on that strength and momentum, Irrigation Today took a big step at the end of 2020 and launched a brand-new website:
www.irrigationtoday.org. We know the importance of being able to access information digitally, and 2020 has magnified that need with increased isolation and the lack of trade shows and events where we are able to come together and share information and ideas in person. This new website contains all of the content found in each issue of the magazine, as well as background information on all of our expert authors. The site is also regularly updated with the latest ag and irrigation news.
