FIELD DAY AT FLORITURF

Te entire FloriTurf team, headed by company president Travis Johnson and his son, Trevor, did a tremendous job of preparing to host and hosting the TPI crowd. Te TPI connection was forged long before Travis acquired the business from his parents, Donald and Nancy Johnson. Many family trips were planned around TPI events. Exhibitors and buyers love Field Days—they’re the ultimate Show & Tell for equipment.

Mike Blair reported that Steve Whaley and his wife, who own the land that FloriTurf farms and on which they held the Field Day, hosted, prepared, and served a “traditional” Florida meal for approximately 70 people. Tat included Mike’s TPI Field Day team, suppliers who were setting up their exhibits, and members of the FloriTurf crew who helped with the setup. Te menu included gator bites, turtle soup, frog’s legs, Florida’s unique wild turkey (called Osceola turkey), pork, “swamp cabbage” (sabal palm) salad, potato salad, cornbread, banana cream pudding, and sweet tea (of course). Mike said it was all delicious!! And he sends a big Tank You to Steve and all those he tapped to create such a unique experience. Photo by Mike Blair

Kendrick Martin, in the white shirt, discusses the features and benefits of the E-Cargo Sod Master 1302 professional-grade electric roll-up tarping system with potential buyers during the Field Day. It’s the same system E-Cargo provided for the TLI Live Auction.
