THE NALPEXPERIENCE

Discover What for November

While it becomes more challenging

to top what has been done in the past, the ELEVATE committee is dedicated to doing so. They continue to listen to attendee feedback and incorporate that into the programming. “The ELEVATE Committee and NALP

staff have been very intentional about looking at the overall balance of the program,” says Kim McCrossen, director of education for NALP. “We want to be sure we are offering the right amount of education, formal networking opportu- nities, and time to visit the Expo, but we also recognize the need for attendees to have a little bit more downtime to net- work and connect informally. Attendees may notice that we have adjusted the education schedule to strike a better balance.” This year’s event will

ELEVATE, PRESENTED BY NALP AND POWERED BY CATERPILLAR, WILL BE hosted in Charlotte, North Carolina, and take place later in the year on Nov. 3-6, 2024. This premier event provides an opportunity to gain insights and inspiration to propel your lawn and landscape business forward.

feature over 36 education sessions and 18 Campfire Conversation Sessions. The programming has sessions that can ben- efit everyone, from managers to CEOs. The ELEVATE committee focused on the perspective of owners bringing their team members to the event. “I recommend getting together as

a team and dividing and conquering,” McCrossen says. “You can’t attend every session, but you can work together to figure out which sessions everyone will attend and share your key takeaways with one another after the event.” ELEVATE also offers the chance to

learn about new products and services from over 170 exhibiting companies at the Expo. Over 42,000 net square feet of exhibit space will house the three campfire conversation areas and two other networking areas. All the conference edu- cation and the Expo will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center, so attendees will be steps away from a bustling cityscape where they can

connect with one another at some of the city’s top attractions, dining and nightlife. McCrossen recommends view-

ing ELEVATE as one big networking event and putting yourself out there. “From learning from experts and

your peers in the education sessions to visiting the booths on the Expo show floor to the countless opportunities to have conversations at the happy hours, the ELEVATE Bash and receptions – the opportunities to make connections are endless!” McCrossen says.

42 The Edge //July/August 2024 A new and exciting networking

opportunity is the Women’s Forum. This event will feature education specifically designed to help women excel in their roles. “We will help attendees learn to do

that through engaging roundtable dis- cussions and a special keynote speaker, followed by a really fun offsite activity!” McCrossen says. To wrap up the event, this year’s

ELEVATE Bash will take place at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Attendees can immerse themselves in the racing world by exploring interactive exhibits, climb- ing into real stock cars, and feeling the virtual rush of the high-speed track with simulator rides.

At the conclusion of ELEVATE,

attendees will also have the option to go On Tour with hosts LOVING or Smith Grounds Management. These tours will allow participants to learn what sets these companies apart. Don’t miss out on this must-attend event! Registration is open now. TE
