Scholarship Recipients Share their Conference Experiences
Lauren Smith, BS University of Arkansas Attending the APT conference was an incredible and invaluable experience.
I am deeply grateful to
the generous donors whose support made this opportunity possible. Their
contributions allowed me to gain valuable insights and therapeutic tools that I can immediately apply in my work with both children and adults. The conference offered an abundance of resources that have enriched my perspective on working with children and families, equipping me with new approaches to integrate into my daily practice.
The most meaningful aspect of the conference, however, was the opportunity to connect with fellow play therapists. Meeting like-minded professionals and beginning to build relationships within the play therapy community was truly inspiring. I now have a network of trusted colleagues to turn to, and I look forward to nurturing these connections as I continue to grow in my career.
Once again, I am deeply thankful to the donors and sponsors who make scholarships like this possible. Their generosity has renewed my passion for play therapy and reinforced my commitment to completing the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) process. I am excited to use this this experience to further help my clients feel the "sunshine" of healing.
