J.C. RESTORATION VOLUNTEERS SURPASSED GOAL TO PACK 100,000 LIFE-SAVING MEALS

“Giving back is of tremendous importance to everyone at J.C. Restoration, and to have had the opportunity to make an impact such as this for these children is remarkable. We are so humbled by this experience, and are beyond grateful to our staff, friends, and neighbors for their assistance in making this a success,” remarked Warner Cruz, president.

About Feed My Starving Children:

Rolling Meadows, IL – June 6, 2016 – J.C. Restoration, Inc. (JCR) and hundreds of community members worked to feed thousands of starving children in the developing world. Through a partnership between J.C. Restoration and Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), volunteers set a goal to prepare 100,000 life-saving meals at this FMSC MobilePack event. We are pleased to announce that this goal was surpassed, and instead the group packed an astounding 116,640 meals. The MobilePack took place June 3, 2016 at the J.C. Restoration campus: 3200 Squibb Avenue, Rolling Meadows, IL.

A total of 512 community member volunteers came through JCR’s facility to generously give their time. Volunteers packed 540 boxes of specially formulated food, designed to meet the needs of severely malnourished children. This is enough to feed 319 children for an entire year. Lively music was played, competition between packing stations ensued, and fun was had by all. Sponsors of the event included Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Hillcrest Property Management, Wine Sergi Insurance, TW Group, Inc, IIA of Illinois, Lincoln Property Company, and Applied Communications Group. Food and beverage was generously provided for our volunteers by Moretti’s, Starbucks, Jersey’s, DeliTime, and The Mug.

Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit that tackles world hunger by sending volunteer- packed MannaPack meals to nearly 70 countries, where they’re used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty. MobilePack events enable children and adults across the United States to pack these life- giving meals. Churches, businesses, community groups and schools in more than 35 states have hosted these food-packing events as a way to foster teamwork and unity, while making a real difference in the fight to prevent and reverse malnutrition.
