Common Purpose Viramontes noted that despite the chal- lenging nature of the work, contractors working side by side on adjacent job- sites who normally are arch competitors
helped each other out and maintained a collaborative atmosphere. “Tere were times when there were
requests for our labor force to show oth- er people how to do things or what our processes were, since we were one of the first contractors out there,” Viramontes noted. “Normally that’s not something you would do with your competition, but in this situation we did.
