Balancing 3 Sports, 2 Jobs & 1 Club, Fulton’s Justin Case is

Imagine working two jobs and competing in two sports each spring as a high school student. Fulton’s Justin Case has done precisely that and has proven he’s more than just in case for the Hornets, as he got All-North Central Missouri Conference at catcher trict and All-NCMC in golf last season.
On top of being a talented three-sport athlete—he plays basket- ball in the winter—Case is a member of Fulton’s academic club, works at Pizza Hut and Railwood Golf Course and has maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout high school and made academic All-State,

along with academic awards for all of those also!”
What unusual talent has allowed Case to balance sports and school to a great extent?
“The uncanny ability to stay focused, whether it be academics

“To make it to state for our baseball team this year. To make it to golf state tournament again this year and
That ability has brought Case the joys he’s experienced as an athlete. “The drive of achieving my goals along with the hard work that leads up to that gives me joy and, of course, the feeling I have with my friends when we win a big game,” Case said. Not only has winning a big game pleased Case and his friends, but the Fulton community has also experienced this feeling with a few of the FHS senior’s athletic successes.
“When our high school baseball team made it to the Final Four my sophomore year, the community supported us so much,” Case said. “There was lots of support and cheers from people all over the community. The same thing happened last spring during my junior year when I made it to state for golf. That was great and makes you feel good for doing all of that hard work. But when you come from a small town, you do not get noticed as much, so hard work is necessary. Again, it feels good when I achieve those goals after putting in all the work.”
Case’s mental determination and attention allowed him to reach the pinnacle of high school golf.
“I also got pretty good at golf in a pretty quick time,” Case said. “I hard at it to catch up with the others at the competitive level. So, I guess I feel I am unusually good at golf, considering I only have a few short years into this game. I have often thought that if I had as many years of hard work into golf as I have put into baseball, I could be at the top of the list during state golf rounds.”
