Will Edwards, a senior at California High School, has already faced some of the toughest challenges an athlete can encounter. Yet his drive to succeed never wavers.

Growing up in a family with deep athletic roots, it was inevita- ble that Edwards would fall in love with sports. His father, Rick,  boys as a punter. "Ever since I was a kid, I just fell in love with sports," Edwards said. “I’ve been playing ever since, and it’s just what I love.”  ent turn, one that would test his resilience and reshape his future. "Baseball is a very mental game," Edwards said. “Over the years, I’ve learned to play with a free mind and not worry about what others think.”


Edwards also credits his family for helping him stay ground- ed and focused. "They’ve helped me a lot through my athletic career and with the mental side of the game,” Edwards said. "They know what's best for me, and I’m very lucky to have them in my life."
