limited to: Welding, Forklift Operation, Crane Operation, Diesel Mechanics, Electromechanical, PLCs, Drive Unit, Hydraulic Pneumatics, and Fabrication.

Duke-Smith Memorial Scholarship – for traditional 4-year College
Since 1996, the OABA-Duke Smith Memorial Education
Fund Scholarship has been furthering the educational goals for young people within our industry. The youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow and will require the tools necessary to be competitive in an increasingly complex work environment. The OABA-Duke Smith Memorial Education Fund Scholarship continues to provide opportunities to eligible undergraduates for higher education in a 4-year college environment. In addition to the available $1,000 scholarships, a special $3,000 David Smith Memorial Scholarship has been presented
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Each applicant must be a member in good standing of the Outdoor Amusement Business Association.
Each applicant must be a graduating high school senior or a continuing undergraduate student at a university,
Each applicant must have plans of attending an accredited educational institution or trade school of their choice for
junior college, or enrolled in a trade school. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for consideration. their continued education.
DEADLINE for application submission is December 30, 2024
