Happenings Bowling for LAC
Fun in Our Spare Time!
By Lisa Hanses 1st Security Bank
On February 27, 2020, Business Partners, association managers, and homeowners alike participated in Bowling for LAC. Proceeds supported WSCAI’s Legislative Action Committee (LAC), who works on legislative and regulatory matters, advocating in Olympia, on behalf of common-interest communities mission, communicate with members and policy services of professionals who help CAI shape the debate concerning issues important to community associations and the professionals that serve them.
Fun, food and prizes were all part of the afternoon at Bowlero (formerly Acme Bowl) in Tukwila. 75 participants, inclusive of 10 teams participated in bowling (some obviously knew how to bowl, others were learning how to bowl, and yet others, well, they were there to look good). Others simply joined in to socialize and appreciate bowling alley food and fun. Purchased tickets entered you into to win one of two prizes. Pam Winslow was the winner of a $100 Starbucks gift card, and Kim Chick was the winner of a couple fun stools, pillows and throw blanket. Prizes were donated by Alliance Association Bank and Superior Cleaning & Restoration.
Many LAC members, along with the Chapter’s lobbyists, have been working behind the scenes for countless hours this legislative session. They deserve a HUGE thank you for the time and effort they have put forth!
Thanks to our participates and sponsors, WSCAI raised $5,400 to support our lobbyists and the committee for 2020!
