Like Covid, the initial months could be rocky. The death rate was high. The information changed frequently. People wondered if anything would look the same ever again. You might feel something similar in the next 12-18 months. Market share may drop fur- ther before comfort levels and adjustments are made. You might pine for the “good old days”. But you were resilient during Covid, and I’m sure you will be again.

Is your head spinning? Is your heart beating a little quicker? Mine sure are. And while my age puts me closer to the exit than the onramp, I still believe in the fundamental concept of any association — that we are better together than apart. That’s why we must move ahead. Covid has shown us that is our only option. It’s like when you are raising little kids, the days last forever but the years fly by. Covid days were interminably long, but all of a sudden four years passed, and no one mentions it much. Despite the discom- fort and unknowns, you forged ahead and did what was best for you, your patients and your team. I have no doubt you will do the same again.
