MODENTPAC UPDATE
The fall semester is typically the busiest for the MODentPAC. Even though elections are not until next year, candidates vying for office are busy holding fundraisers and cam- paigning. MODentPAC is one of the stron- gest healthcare PACs in Missouri. This allows us to be involved at every step of the election cycle, including in the off years. In 2021, the MODentPAC Board authorized $29,500 in contributions to 39 candidates seeking state office. We are delighted that our PAC balance allows us to be involved in the legislative pro- cess every semester, every year, all thanks to our members. Help us maintain our designa- tion as one of the top healthcare PACs in the
state by contributing to the MODentPAC. Your contribution allows the MDA to have a voice on legislative decisions that affect you, your practice and your patients, every day. Visit

SAVE THE DATE: 2022 MDA LOBBY DAY
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to host our traditional in-person lobby day at the Capitol in 2021. Instead, we hosted a completely virtual MDA Legislative Town Hall, where Senate and House leader- ship lead a discussion on upcoming priorities and took questions from MDA members in the audience. We received overwhelm- ingly positive review from our attendees. In 2022, we will host both in-person and virtual events. Save the date for the Virtual Legislative Townhall, the evening of February 1. Then, plan on joining us in person at our State Capitol in Jefferson City, Wednesday, March 9, for the Annual MDA Lobby Day! f

• “I also read a report in a legitimate scientific journal that stated up to 80 percent of COVID patients have significant cognitive problems even after they recover. I just don’t want to take that risk.”
• “I really would strongly advise you to get vaccinated. Outside of a very rare medical situation, I don’t think its worth the risk to go unvacci- nated.”
