the Donated Dental Services Program was maintained at $180,000. Funding for the Elks Mobile Dental Services van was reduced to $350,000 in the FY27 budget, compared to the $400,000 approved by the Governor last fiscal year.


As Missouri looks ahead, state revenue projections indicate that further substantial reductions, potentially totaling $2 billion over this and next fiscal year, may be neces- sary to maintain a balanced budget, signaling continued fiscal pressure in upcoming legis- lative sessions. Advocacy efforts will continue to emphasize the importance of maintaining dental Medicaid reimbursement rates and protecting the adult dental benefit, including the role preventive and routine dental care play in reducing costly emergency room visits and improving overall health outcomes for Missouri Medicaid patients.
