olleyball is one of the ultimate team games, and Kambell Winegar was the ultimate team leader on the Helias Catholic state champions. A Class 3 MHSVCA All-State selection, AVCA All- Region (Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin), and the top player in the conference, Kambell was named the CMAC Player of the Year. As a co-captain of the Lady Crusaders, Kambell helped Helias to the Class 3 state championship and a 36-1-1 season. She led the team with 282 kills and was second with 413 digs. She was named to the Prep Dig Class 3 Final Four All-Tournament Team along with the Bran- son Invitational and CMAC vs. OMC Crossover All-Tournament Teams. Kambell made huge strides as a player from her junior to senior year. She nearly doubled her totals in kills, aces, digs and blocks from 2024 




Beyond the numbers and honors, Kambell plays with heart, desire, intelligence and with a smile. You can tell she loves the game, loves her teammates and her school. She’s a talented leader and shining  “Some captains lead vocally while others are more comfortable leading by example,” said Helias Volleyball Coach David Harris. “I have  utilizing both methods. Kambell is able to do both. She is also a great role model for our underclassmen and young female athletes all across the central Missouri region. I feel blessed to know her as a person, and I am honored to have been her coach.”
