Dr. Dannie Lester Mullins, 77, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Born August 20, 1948, in
He is survived by his wife, Sandi Mullins; his mother, Agnes Mullins Bacon; his sister, Patricia Strahan (Richard); his children, David Mullins (Cynthia) and Sarah Pavinich (Greg); and his grandchildren, Caleb, Evan, Noah, Ella Grace, and Luke. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Mullins.
Dr. Mullins graduated from Somerset High School in 1966, earned a B.S. in Animal Sciences from the University of Kentucky in 1970, and received his DVM from Auburn University in 1974. Known than 50 years, founding Midway Veterinary Hospital, the area’s community he served.

Julie Ann Gard Schnuelle, 59, of Auburn, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2025. Born in Morristown, New Jersey, in 1966 to Gary Gard and Elizabeth Moody, Julie was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and an accomplished generous spirit will be deeply missed.
Julie earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1988, graduated with honors from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, became a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists in 2002, and completed a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University in 2003. Julie is survived by her husband, Archie Schnuelle; her children, Michael and Natalie Waldrop; her stepchildren, Megan Schnuelle, her siblings, Tim (Lisa) Gard, Dolores (John) Reuther, Jason (Amy) Gard, and stepsister Karla (Shawn) McQuade; along with nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
