Brian McLean, CCAL


is co-chair of the WSCAI Legislative Action Committee. He brings us the Legislative Update in this issue. Brian is managing shareholder at the law firm of Leahy McLean Fjelstad and a member of the College of Community Association Lawyers. He concentrates his practice in the area of community association


law and speaks and writes frequently about community associations. Brian served previously as a board member and president of WSCAI. He is former lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the now defunct Pacific Northwest band The Acetones. His wife adores him and his children revere him.


Jacqueline Cleveland, AMS™


co-authors “Oh Coverage, My Coverage: An Association Manager Navigates Insurance” with Ryan Stewart in this issue. Jacqueline is a Senior Manager at Associa®, EMB Management. She maintains a small portfolio as well as supervises and mentors six Community Association Managers in EMB Management’s Bellevue


office. While not at work, she is looking for a Pinterest pin with instructions on how to build an entire giraffe out of wine corks, pining for the next season of Sherlock, and training to finish the Seattle Marathon at the end of November.

Duncan Kirk, CIRMS, CIC


is a partner at HUB International Northwest/The Unity Group, a large regional independent insurance and employee benefit agency. Duncan is a Community Insurance & Risk Management Specialist (CIRMS) and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). He is a past WSCAI Chapter President. Duncan lives in a townhouse
