the Enid Miracle League, a six-week season of t-ball for people with disabilities. BKD Associate Katie Patton, CPA, served as color commentator with the event. Katie is president of the 4RKids Foundation Board, which puts the League on in conjunction with Enid American Business Clubs (AMBUCS). BKD Manager Michelle Ratzlaff, CPA, her husband and three children served as buddies, who help the players bat, field, run the bases and, most importantly, have fun. City, a 100% VIP company, recently held its annual intern volunteer day. Te interns volunteered with the Oklahoma Hall of Fame’s Summer Tursday program, which provides theme-oriented story time, crafts and activities for kids. BKD helped facilitate activities by interacting with guests and helping children plant begonias and marigolds. Te intern team also spent the afternoon serving at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Hope’s Kitchen by packing more than 2,500 snacks in paper sacks, which are distributed at locations not setup to provide full meals. Tey also made more than 2,300 sandwiches in preparation for snack packing the next day. Additionally, the BKD Foundation contributed $7,500 toward sponsorship in its third year of support for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City’s annual Walk for Kids.

took part in a Regional Food Bank (RFB) volunteer night, August 9. Committee members sorted pre-packaged food while listening to live music for the RFB’s Food for Kids Backpack Program. Together, they

helped bag more than 6,600 pounds of food for almost 2,000 Oklahoma children for the new school year.
