Te interns volunteered with the Oklahoma Hall of Fame’s Summer Tursday program, which provides theme-oriented story time, crafts and activities for kids. BKD helped facilitate activities by interacting with guests and helping children plant begonias and marigolds. Te intern team also spent the afternoon serving at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Hope’s Kitchen by packing more than 2,500 snacks in paper sacks, which are distributed at locations not setup to provide full meals. Tey also made more than 2,300 sandwiches in preparation for snack packing the next day. Additionally, the BKD Foundation contributed $7,500 toward sponsorship in its third year of support for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City’s annual Walk for Kids.
