very community manager has dreamed of solutions for one of their worst nightmares, pipe leaks.

supply. Te damages from dripping water are well known and hazardous to health as well as property.

Te February CAI Luncheon featured speakers who gave two solutions and financial information on various related costs for repairs or replacements of pipes.

Denise Gibbs from Seabreeze Management gave a manager’s view of the problem and how to proceed when leaks become chronic at any given association. Connor Ross of Ross Construction Management gave an overview of how to approach the problem, address the problem and finance the needed repairs or replacements.

Bob Pigman spoke regarding the ePipe brand of products and explained the epoxy lining, results, expectations and track record of this type of solution.

Jim Michaelson spoke regarding RePipe Restoration explaining the system of removal and replacement of piping.

As they explained, both systems are effective, the association must decide on the best one for them. How to have a “Town Hall” meeting with the homeowners and explain the problems and suggested solutions to eliminate the constant damage from old, leaking pipes was shown to the audience.

And, of course, proper legal

advice and a construction manager would be a necessary requirement to make any such project work properly.
