WINNING ENTRY { NO LIMITS } COLORFUL CANOES by Dr. Erin Graham Bates, US Army


THE “NO LIMITS” CATEGORY, NEW IN 2020, HAD 7 ENTRIES. It allowed members to submit images that were digitally enhanced or altered beyond basic editing. This year’s


winner was Dr. Erin Graham Bates (UMKC 14, UNIV CO Denver 15). Dr. Bates is a general dentist contractor for the U.S. Army Dentac at Fort Lee, Va., and soon is moving to Colorado where she will join a private practice. She originally is from Hartsburg and maintains her membership with the MDA. Dr. Bates says about this image, which was taken on the shore of Annette Lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada: “Jasper is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies, and Annette Lake along with neighboring Edith Lake lie at a lower elevation than other lakes in the park. No motorized boats are allowed on Annette Lake, which helps to maintain its serene nature.”
