The attractive new pro shop offers the latest in hockey and figure skating merchandise.

Visitors will be able to enjoy Italian

food at the soon-to-open Momma Roma Restaurant, which will feature an intimate seating area, and browse for hockey and figure skating merchandise in the new pro shop. Finishing touches to the arena included fresh paint.

“Te improvements to the rink have not only made it a more welcoming and

attractive environment to visit but also shows our dedication to the community we serve,” said Cremen. “It has boosted employee morale and instilled a renewed sense of pride and satisfaction in all the hockey teams, figure skaters and families who call this rink home.”

Built in 1991, the rink, with one NHL size ice surface, served as the training

facility for the Washington Capitals from 1991-2005. Managed by Piney Ice LLC, today it is home to the Metro Maple Leafs Youth Hockey Organization, Archbishop Spalding High School Men’s and Women’s Hockey Teams, Pinnacle Performance Elite Hockey Training Program and Te Piney Orchard Figure Skating Team.
