n September 29th, 166 managers eager to learn, network, and meet with exhibitors, attended Virtual


Made for Managers Day (MFMD). Planned to be in-person in June as in the past, COVID-19 and safe gathering restrictions put the kibosh on that. The MFMD Committee, Board, and our Business Partners quickly shifted gears for an online  this program and multiple moving parts into a cohesive successful event.

Deepest thanks to our Business Partners without whom MFMD would not be possible. Exhibitors set up virtual booths where participants could visit through Zoom to learn more about services or products offered. While meeting virtually is not the same as in-person face-to-face, it was still great to have plenty of opportunities to visit old friends and make new connections.

Educational offerings were varied with interesting topics and speakers. The MFMD Committee’s goal is to provide managers with advanced education while ensuring there 

One session, designed especially for management company CEO’s and senior staff, presented by Mark Jones AMS, PCAM, discussed the association manager shortage  retaining professional managers plus tools and technology to help managers do their jobs better.


Operational tools, tips, and advice for managers were offered in 60 Minute Meeting & Keeping Order Through Best Practices with Kristen Leadbetter CMCA, AMS, Due Process, Fines, & Hearings with Valerie Oman, Esq., and the Ask a PCAM Panel Discussion with Kristen McCormick CMCA, AMS, PCAM, Kevin Ducotey PCAM, and Nancy Easley, PCAM.


Nicole Bailey and Gene West presented on Wealth Management Understanding for Today’s Community Manager, offering managers tools to help boards with reserves investment thinking. We also had honing manager skills in Leadership 101 with Tom Jonez, CMCA, and Paul Grucza, CMCA, AMS, PCAM engaged attendees with The Board Member Conundrum – How to Keep Things on Track from the Manager Perspective. Marlyn Hawkins, Esq. delivered an update onWUCIOA – The Toddler Years, a session on understanding WUCOIA as it matures with more use.


All in all, a great event—looking forward to next year!
