Although it goes without saying, let’s just say it anyway .


. . mold is gross. Unless you are a scientist creating an


antibiotic to save humanity, mold—generally speaking—is not something you want hanging around. It may sound hard to believe, but mold is everywhere. Even during the warm, sunny summer; it’s not that hard to find. It’s primarily when excess moisture is introduced to, or trapped within the built environment that it becomes a recipe for big problems.


When it comes to removing mold, the only way to be assured the job is done properly is to engage Certified Mold Professionals to tackle the issue head-on. These professionals have titles as varied as the spores they are likely to encounter. They can be found by searching for: Applied Microbial Remediation Technicians, Applied Microbial Remediation Specialists, Mold Remediation Specialist, Applied Structural Drying Technicians or Master Restorers. Due to the liabilities associated with microbial related activities, best practice should be source removal methods as the primary means; the most thorough and safest way to mitigate microbial issues within the building envelope.

In a recent case of, “What is that smell?” a client called a local remediation specialist to inquire as to the source of a mysterious odor emanating from a public restroom.
