Elissa Brine, Esq. is an associate attorney at Condominium Law Group. She has been a practicing


attorney in the State of Washington for 10 years. She holds a JD from the


University of Washington and an MS from Virginia Tech. In addition to her legal experience, Elissa teaches paralegal courses at Edmonds Community College. She has received research grants to study various issues, including a grant to research risk management issues from the EPA. Elissa has presented papers at conferences


throughout the country on risk assessment, economics and science studies. Elissa has lived in Seattle for 13 years and loves endurance cycling and running events. In this issue, she discusses unwanted modifications in condos.

Prior to living at University Plaza, he served as President of the Eastlake Community Council, served on a United Way Board, served on the Board of his Rotary Club and served on the Board of his credit union. He has been a business owner and a senior manager in government and in

Allison Peryea, Esq. is a shareholder with Leahy McLean Peryea, which is located in downtown Seattle


and serves primarily community association clients. She is the chair of the


Washington State Bar Association Editorial Advisory Committee and a member of the WSBA Judicial Recommendation Committee. Allison’s article talks about construction easements and license agreements for adjacent property owners.


Jerry Ringenberg, AMS is the Building Manager of Fifteen Twenty-One Second Avenue, a luxury high-rise


next to the Pike Place Market. Based on his extensive experience of on-site work and portfolio management as well as his interest in outdoor cooking, he wrote the article “What’s Grilling?” When he is not researching a new recipe for the BBQ, Jerry is most often found doing home improvements to his house on Bainbridge Island.
