Once again, this month’s Journal is packed with articles to help improve
community living in your association. Drought resistant landscaping is always a popular topic especially with this year’s low snowpack in the mountains, therefore be sure to check out Scott Selby’s article on ways to reduce irrigation needs in your community. Jackie Cleveland has penned an article on the do’s and don’ts of conducting business outside of a regular meeting, which is a very important topic for many associations as oftentimes items come up in between meetings and a board needs to know how to properly handle these items.

Back in May, Chapter Executive Director Michelle Leary, President Elect Tony Rafel and I jetted off to Orlando, Florida to attend the annual CAI conference. One of the themes at that conference was “One Thing” which was sharing one new piece of knowledge with someone, and then that person would share a piece of knowledge with another person, and the chain would continue.
