Bell-Anderson & Associates recently celebrated their 50th anniversary managing real estate in the Kent area. The party was hosted by owner/broker, Vickie Gaskill, MPM, CPM and held at the ShoWare Center. Special guests included Gerry Anderson, one of the original founders of the company. Thank you to CAI for building so many relationships over the years.

Daniel Berner recently joined Rafel Law Group as an associate attorney. Daniel previously worked for a construction law firm and has represented community associations, homeowners, design professionals and other interested parties in construction defect  Daniel got his law degree from Seattle University School of Law and did his undergraduate work at the UW. He lives in Seattle with his wife and two dogs and enjoys all of the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Mark J. Phelps has joined the Law Offices of James L. Strichartz. Mark has an extensive background in real estate litigation, lending and creditor-debtor practice in both Washington and Oregon. After working in private practice for 11 years, he was in house counsel at Washington Mutual Bank, with a specialty in lending    in the association law area at Leahy.ps and most recently has done  Mark will be focusing on assessment collection. He is a graduate of Pomona College and UW Law School (Go Dawgs!).

Stacy McDonald Flores is a native of the island of Guam, a U.S. Territory. Stacy has taken on the role of Administrative Services HR Manager and Executive Assistant to the General Manager. She and her family were recently stationed in Bellingham as her husband is an active duty military service member with the U.S. Coast Guard. Stacy holds a degree in Criminal Justice with emphasis in


Administration. While Stacy’s husband was stationed in Guam, Stacy was employed at the Judiciary of Guam for nearly four years. Before making her entry into the Guam judicial system career field, Stacy was the Office Manager for the law firm of Maher and Thompson, P.C., for 10 years.


Rachel Bowers is a recent graduate of Western Washington University


holding degrees in


Communications and Political Science. She grew up in Maple Valley, Washington and moved to Bellingham in 2009. She has previously worked in an accounting office and was the Distribution Coordinator for the Publicity Center at Western. As well as her dedication to Sudden Valley she also


waitresses at New York Pizza & Bar in town. Rachel has spent time volunteering for Girl Scouts of America, the Washington Student Association, and Western Votes. She is also looking forward to volunteering at the Whatcom Humane Society come June. In her spare time, Rachel loves to go running outdoors, play soccer, and read interesting novels. She also loves to travel, having spent two months in Europe last summer, and hopes to go back very soon.


~ Amanda Becker has been working as the


receptionist/marina coordinator for Sudden Valley since June 2013. She resides in Bellingham with her husband of six years and beautiful daughter Loralei. She is expecting their second daughter in January. Amanda enjoys spending time with her small family and is excited for the changes to come. She appreciates her daughter’s energy and


love of music and dancing. Amanda loves to experience new things and places. One of the best experiences Amanda has experienced was shortly after getting married—she moved to Japan with her husband, who was teaching English. They had a great time in Japan and made some wonderful friends from around the world. While Amanda didn’t learn Japanese, she did have fun teaching some of the children American Sign Language. Amanda took two years in high school and two years in college and has retained a majority of the knowledge she acquired. Amanda loves meeting new people and that is evident in her passion to pursue a career in Customer Service in such a community as SVCA. She has been in the career field of Customer Service for 12 years. She is a graduate of Rogers High School and has attended both Pierce College and Western Washington University for a year each.
