Board of Directors 2014 WSCAI


President Sarah Anderson, PCAM® EMB Management, Inc. AAMC


Sarah Anderson is the director of marketing and operations for EMB’s Seattle Branch and is responsible for the oversight of daily operations, marketing and new business development. Sarah is an experienced Community Association Manager with a strong background in the management of complex high rise and mixed use condominium associations. Prior to coming to EMB, Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts from Willamette University and also worked with another local management company as a senior portfolio manager. As an active member in the Community Association Industry, Sarah holds designations as a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®), Association Management Specialist (AMS®) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®). Outside of work, Sarah enjoys yoga, running, jewelry making, traveling, and working on her 113-year old home in the company of her two dogs, two cats and parrot.


Vice President Michael D. Brandt Brandt Law Group


Michael is in his third year as the Co-Chair of WSCAI’s Legislative Action Committee. He has been an active member of the Legislative Action Committee for the last five years, where he worked on the reserve study legislation and testified to the State Senate about solar energy legislation, among other things. Michael is the principal of Brandt Law Group, a Seattle law firm that provides legal services to condominium and homeowner associations, their officers, directors, and members, as well as to the owners of single family residential properties and commercial properties. Michael has been practicing real estate law for 21 years in Seattle and lives in Snoqualmie, where he is a member of the Snoqualmie Ridge HOA.


President-Elect Deverick Martin University Plaza Condominium


Deverick is a homeowner at University Plaza Condominium and active volunteer leader for the University Plaza Owners Association, serving as President of the UPOA Board and serving on the finance, building, and social committees.


He previously served as President of the Eastlake Community Council and served on a United Way Board, Board of his Rotary Club and the Board of his credit union. He has been a business owner and a senior manager in government and in the private sector.


Deverick has been a member of WSCAI for the past four years, and has served on the WSCAI Board as Secretary and subsequently Treasurer. He has worked to establish community association board peer


groups in Tacoma, Snohomish County and in Greater Seattle’s Eastside. He is enthusiastic about CAI and the important role it plays in community governance.


Secretary Troy Brogdon McBride Construction Resources


Currently a member of WSCAI’s Business Partner Committee, Troy has been active with WSCAI for the last several years. He is an estimator and project manager for McBride Construction Resources, a general contractor specializing in all phases of residential and commercial construction. Personally completing over 70 projects each year, his primary focus is on insurance repairs for homeowner associations and condominiums. Troy has 13 years in the industry and currently lives in Seattle.
