Mojo Carried Minor to Pendleton Breakaway Roping Title

or the second year, the famed Pendleton Round-up invited the top 24 in the Columbia River circuit standings to breakaway rope on the grass. As breakaway roping is experiencing extreme growth across the country, there are a lot of Northwest rodeos that are adding breakaway roping. “There were ten circuit rodeos that had breakaway and they added a couple this year so it’s getting a lot  the opportunity. “Now it’s really exciting to know I can go to those ProRodeos with my husband and breakaway and run barrels.” spends the winter going to rodeos with Riley so they can be together as a family. But the summer is extremely busy with everyone’s rodeo schedules. “It’s a long summer and it takes a lot of help. You just tell yourself that it’s what we love to do and we can sleep later,” she said laughing.


In addition to the numerous new opportunities for WPRA contestants to breakaway rope, the WPRA World Finals


   approving the event so the money won will count toward world standings in 2019 and raise the bar for the world title race. “It’s all really exciting,” the Pendleton Breakaway Champion said about the future of breakaway roping.
