he race for the WPRA All-Around World Championship was a close race that would be determined by who had that best performance at the WPRA World Finals in Waco, Texas. It


would come down to two great friends and fierce competitors in Jackie Crawford and Kelsie Chace. “She lives at my house and knowing that we both have the same


silent goals but yet pushing each other, it’s great to have a friend that pushes you like that to make me work as hard as I do at it,”


said Crawford about Chace, a two-time WPRA All Around World Champion. Leading up to the WPRA World Finals, they had to haul to an indoor arena to be able to rope due to the weather. “Just knowing it’s going to be a tight competition for the all around, it fuels you and it’s nice to have somebody on your team that’s pushing you and is also your competition. It’s fun, but it is a lot of pressure.” They were both competing in every roping event at the WPRA


Jackie Crawford has always prided herself on being one of the best ropers in the WPRA competing in all the roping events – tie-down roping (left), team roping (right) and breakaway roping. As a result of her talents she has roped her way to 18 world titles in the WPRA, second only to Wanda Bush who finished her career with 32 titles that included titles in several events not contested today.
