SCPA member Amanda Halverson, CPA, was selected to attend this year’s American

Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Leadership Academy. Only 30 CPA honorees will join the program’s 13th graduating class, which will gather October 25-28. Te AICPA Leadership Academy was designed to strengthen and expand the leadership skills of promising young professionals while they network with a peer group of talented and motivated CPAs. Participants were selected from public accounting firms of all sizes, business and industry, government and consulting firms. Halverson’s exceptional leadership skills and professional experience were both major factors in her selection for the program. Attendees are recommended by their employers, state CPA societies and volunteer organizations. “Amanda is not only a dedicated tax accountant, but also one of the most passionate people I have had the pleasure of meeting,” colleague Greg Jones, CPA, said in Halverson’s 2019 Trailblazer nomination. “She cares for her clients as if they were her own family…She is truly an example of what we all strive to become as CPAs.”
