30 years, is currently the chair of the Bylaws Committee and serves on the Editorial Board. Te past chairman of the board was inducted into the Accounting Hall of Fame in 2007 and awarded the Public Service Award in 2008. Jessica Rue, a student member of the OSCPA, recently passed the NASBA Center for the Public Trust Ethical Leadership Certification program. She is a 2019 Educational Foundation

Some of the nonprofits in Oklahoma include the Lindsey House, Pathways Adult Learning Center, Tulsa Dream Center, Sunbeam Family Services, the Myriad Gardens Foundation and Girl Scouts - Western Oklahoma.

by volunteering at Upward Transitions and Special Care. At Special Care, BKD members cleaned various areas that serve children with and without special needs. At Upward Transitions, BKD members hosted their eighth annual cookout and served more than 200 neighbors experiencing homelessness.

OSCPA members helped students from Putnam City schools through a hands-on simulation that lets students experience what life might be


like after high school. Junior Achievement’s Finance Park randomly issues each student a life scenario (e.g., married with an income of $45,000, with or without children). Ten, students set their savings and budget for the month and then try to stay within that budget paying all the necessary—and surprise—bills. Rachel Johnson, CPA, CGMA, chairman of the OSCPA Financial Literacy Committee, coordinated volunteers to provide guidance to students about everyday life as an adult. Volunteers included Ara Grigorian, CPA; Melanie Ramseyer, CPA; and Rachel Johnson, CPA, CGMA, from Peters & Chandler, PC; Elizabeth Camphor, CPA, from Elizabeth Camphor, CPA, PC; Gregg Koehn, CPA, from Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality;
