YOU CAN BEAT 50% OF YOUR COMPETITION BY SHOWING UP ON TIME AND DOING YOUR JOB. YOU CAN BEAT 40% OF YOUR COMPETITION BY WORKING HARDER AND SMARTER. BEATING THE LAST 10% IS A DOG FIGHT TO THE TOP. – A.L. WILLIAMS
WHILE HE HAS PLENTY OF EXPERT TIPS ON SUCCEEDING FOR NEW CPAS, TIM ROBERTS, CPA, SAID IT BOILS DOWN TO FOUR GUIDELINES. A shareholder with Morse & Co., PLLC
in Tulsa, Roberts shared his protocol for professional prosperity. “First, show up a litter earlier than normal.

for Tim and seeing him be able to have a very successful career while working on causes that are important to him and volunteering with organizations that mean a lot are really what helped me realize I could do the same.” Meyer’s assessment isn’t wrong. Roberts
has been volunteering for Tulsa Area United Way—and Rotary Club of Will Rogers and Mental Health Association Oklahoma—for more than 30 years. Additionally, he is a Leadership Tulsa graduate, a church board member for Te Ridge at Broken Arrow and a Life Member of the Oklahoma State Alumni Association. In addition to his extensive community
service, Roberts is licensed in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Puerto Rico and is a member of the AICPA, the Puerto Rico Society of CPAs and the OSCPA Tulsa Chapter. He’s served on the OSCPA Peer Review Committee for 20 years. For Roberts, all of his experience has
afforded him the opportunity to contemplate
