Advisors, a 100% VIP company, recently contributed $97,275 to 11 regional higher education institutions

in the fifth year of its Back to School campaign. Te campaign is led by BKD’s Oklahoma practice and includes a firm match. Te result is an increase of approximately 33 percent over last year. Local recipients include East Central University, Northeastern State University, Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma Christian University, Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma State University, University of Central Oklahoma, Te University of Oklahoma and Te University of Tulsa. BKD’s Oklahoma employees, partners and retired partners are encouraged to give back to their alma maters or another qualifying institution of their choice. Qualifying contributions of $50 to $500 are matched by BKD dollar for dollar. Including the match, BKD now have given more than $297,000 to higher education institutions over the life of the campaign. Additionally, Kevin Gore, CPA, a partner in BKD’s Tulsa office, presented a check for $16,500 to A New Leaf, a Tulsa-area nonprofit serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Te money was raised within two weeks after the previous tractor broke down during the Tulsa Area United Way Day of Caring. Additionally, about 20 employees from BKD’s Enid office packaged more than 14,000 meals for Stamp Out Starvation, which will benefit families in Haiti.
