the president’s message I
t’s time to celebrate CAI OC! It’s midyear
already and I believe in celebrating milestones. Many of you probably have children graduating kindergarten, 6th
or 8th grade, high school, or
college in June. What a wonderful time of year it is to see them grow and flourish and start a new chapter in their life! Most of you are happy we are entering the summer season – business will be bustling, vacations will be planned, and it’s a time to enjoy making great memories with family and friends.
So, what is CAI OC celebrating you ask? Well…. YOU of course! Without our members, we wouldn’t be the organization that we are for 40 years. On top of that, many of YOU also volunteer time and talent to serve on the Board and Committees. Here’s just a short list of what our organization has been doing as it relates to our 2017 Strategic Plan:
We have 81 new members since the start of the year
Marketing proposals are under current Board review which will ultimately aid us in developing marketing and promotional materials
By Laws have been revised and are under current Board review to meet CAI National requirement
Te PCAM scholarship fund is at $16,000 Te New Member packets have been reviewed and revised We have met with two legislators
Education classes will be developed and converted to be offered in various methodologies
We have been celebrating the CMCA, AMS and PCAM designations
Outreach events have been more than successful and our participation increases
We have increased our efforts in delivering news through PR Financially we are in great shape A new website has been launched Symposium & Expo event has a logo and app
CLAC contribution continues to be on track and we will meet goal again by year end
Nothing short of amazing of what has been done and what is to come by the time we end the year! As my daughter, Samantha shared with me this past month: “Mom, remember, we are like pencils – we can be sharpened; we can correct our mistakes; and we can leave a mark.”
Tank you to everyone who makes it possible to get things done – let’s continue to be like a pencil as I know we are not quite done this year being sharpened and correcting errors, but I do know that we will leave an everlasting mark!
