2019 Missouri Coalition for Oral Health Policy Conference Registration Now Open

ou’re invited to join oral health advo- cates from around the state and coun- try for the 2019 Oral Health Policy


Conference February 28 and March 1, 2019 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City. Registration is open at oralhealthmissouri.org. The conference—themed “Accelerating Com- munity Health!” and hosted by the Missouri Coalition for Oral Health—features Cham- pion Awards, networking and cutting-edge presentations on oral health policy. Of note, Dr. Joe Richardson, Vicki Wilbers and Stepha- nie Sharp will be receiving this year’s Oral Health Champion award for their work with the community water fluoridation campaign in Houston, Mo. The Coalition stated the trio were excellent role models of positive com- munity advocacy. Pre-Conference Workshops to be held February 28 include Teledentistry for Providers and Being a Medicaid Provider in an Era of Accountability, which features


members of the ADA’s Council on Advocacy for Access and Prevention (CAAP) Medicaid Provider Advisory Committee. The panel of presenters will share insights, opportunities and challenges regarding program integrity, compliance, fraud, advocacy and how better to safeguard your practice while providing care to this growing population in an era of increasing accountability and scrutiny. The MDA is helping to co-sponsor this event. The schedule features seven workshops in addi- tion to the two pre-conference events.

presented by Dr. Steven Geiermann, ADA Senior Manager, with Dr. Sidney Whitman, Dr. Allen Finkelstein and Dr. Charlie Czeretak
