MFH seeking members for Community Advisory Council

The MDA has been invited to identify individu- als to serve on the Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH), Community Advisory Council (CAC). This process is now open and continues through March 5, 2010.

The MFH CAC is a 13-member body charged with providing input to MFH concerning com- munity needs in the region and the efficacy of MFH’s activities in meeting those needs. A very significant function of the CAC is identifying, screening and nominating individuals to serve on the CAC and the MFH Board.

MFH is the state’s largest health foundation, and as such, in its history has funded various oral health related projects.

In 2005, the Foundation funded the MDA’s “Start Right” project and just last year, funded a grant for the Expanded Functions Dental Assisting program, a joint effort between the MDA and UMKC School of Dentistry.
