ADVBG Executive Decision sold for $15,000.

ADVBG Rebel in Red sold for $7,500. Corona virus forces The Other Sale to go online

Even a worldwide pandemic wasn’t able to stop the annual The Other Sale planned for March 28. The sale, usually held at the Ike Hamilton Arena in West Monroe, La., had to make some quick re-arrange- ments when Covid 19 concerns shut down, facilities, restaurants and restricted travel. A few phone calls and text messages between consignors and a special effort by the online marketing company GOATPRO- MOTER.COM turned the threatened event into a very successful online auction with the top seller bringing $15,000.

There were a few bumps in the road in

the quickly organized event, but in the end the sellers and buyers were pleased with the results.

“A huge thank you goes to Jason Bra- shear with GOATPROMOTER.COM for taking The Other Sale online for us and doing everything in your power to make it work,” said Cassie Fisher of TK’s Grand Boers. “Also, much thanks to our fearless leader Denise Crabtree for all your efforts. You are greatly appreciated. We are already looking forward to next year’s sale — minus the Corona Chaos,” she said.

Appreciation for a successful sale was expressed by other consignors as well. “During these very trying times, you, the buyers have stuck with us. We at Show Me Boers would like to give you all a huge shout out for sticking with us, through all of the different formats, server crashes, bumps and glitches,” said Wess and Lori Peterson.

“We were determined to bring you the very best of the best this year! Enjoy your new purchases! Stay safe and healthy!” “Thank you to all the bidders and

buyers at The Other Sale 2020. What a ride,” said Randall Barker. “We at CR Boers want to give a huge thanks to everyone for their patience!”

The high-selling buck and doe both were consigned by Denise Crabtree of Ad- vanced Boer Genetics. The high-selling buck

was ADVBG Executive Decision, purchased by SNA Farms of Indiana for $15,000. The high-selling doe, ADVBG Rebel in Red, sold to Noah Teel for $7,500. As in years past, The Other Sale also served as a fundraiser for the Wounded War- rior Project, raising $2,800. Contributions and auctioned items fell short of their $5,000 goal this year but those wishing to contribute can still donate at WWPfundraise@wound- n
