I ran into them at sales and shows from coast-to-coast. Several years ago James lost part of his foot due to complications from his diabetes, but it didn’t seem to slow him down. He was at the sidelines visiting with other Boer breeders or cheering on Brenda when she was in the ring. These pioneers’ expertise and friend- ship will be missed. n
