ASSOCIATION  ON THE EARIE

On The Earie continued

finally catching on. Major construction is taking place. Pronto Pups and Sweet Martha’s both erected beautiful new conces- sion buildings. Deputy GM Jim Sinclair received a Hall of Honor Award from the Showmen’s League of America and this was Dennis Larson’s last year as concession czar as he is re- tiring. As for my Mouth Trap Cheese Curd stand, we had our best year ever despite all the rain. Being in the food building hurts us less than the outside vendors. We actually finished up by about three percent.”

Cavallaro added, “I had a nice surprise visit from 30 dig- nitaries from the Western Fairs Association. We also closed the deal on two E-Lemon-Aders. One is going to Arizona, having been purchased by Scott Mack of Mack’s Grill who has his family concession at the fair. The other was bought by Fred Pittroff and his wife, Carmel Dyer, who sells Australian Battered Potatoes. They both play the Royal Easter Show in Australia, her native land, so after 22 years of selling these lemonade units I can now say I will be represented interna- tionally. Nobody ever said I was a fast learner.” Happy Thanksgiving, have all great days, and God Bless! 
