What horse(s) in your barn are you most passionate about and why?
I am passionate about all my horses, I’m ex- tremely excited about CM Amadeus a wean- ling colt that has the most beautiful face and such a fun one to be around. Also Halyra Mea Lua a full sister to Halyr Mea Lua, I just import- ed her from Brazil and see great things in her future.
Whats next for Cum- berland Mountain?
Cumberland Mountain is continuing to breed Beautiful Arabian mares with some amazing stallions to continue to better the breed. Also we are trying to promote and get more youth into training and showing.
I have to give a big shout out to several people that have truly helped me along the way, Dottie Forrester (wife) has been by my side every step of the way. We have learned tremendously throughout this process through the many ups and downs, without Dottie there would be no Cumberland Mountain. ERIN NAAS you are my Kwam!!! Without you I don’t know what I would have done. You’re an inspiration that listens, hears me any time of the day or night and has put in numerous hours and days of hard work to make Cumberland Mountain successful. Travis Rice, Rodolfo Gusto you make dreams come true, and I so appreciate all you have done. Keith Kristie has been an inspiration and most of all a friend there’s many more that have helped along the way, just hard to mention all the good people that are truly dedicated to this breed. We have met amazing people that are sure to be lifelong friends.
What is the biggest piece of advice you would offer those just starting out?
My advice to any one starting out is to listen to owners, find out who you are most compatible with and enjoy every minute along the way!
